We woke at our usual time and turned up for breakfast at 7am. We have two more nights on this train before we get off at Jasper. The bedroom is quite comfortable with our own toilet and a shower with a change area at the end of each carriage. As this train has been running since 1953, it still has four "park" cars with the dome viewing areas and was last renovated in 2010. The food is very good and the scenery is typically dense forest of smallish trees, swamps, rivers and lakes. There are many cuttings with granite rock sides but very few tunnels.
The train started the day five hours behind schedule and stopped regularly to allow freight trains to pass. We stopped at two stations where we were allowed off for fifteen minutes.
