All went well on our way back to Novi Sad until we reached the Hungarian/ Serbian border. At Kelebia a big group of young people invaded the first class carriage with backpacks. When the Serbian guard came on board he checked their tickets and moved them into the second class carriage.
More people got on, the weather was about 40C and the air-conditioning was struggling. The second class carriage was even worse so people filled up our carriage, sitting and standing in the aisles. The train was travelling about 40 km/hr and it eventually arrived at Novi Sad after 8 hours. Perhaps there was a rule that the train had to go slow because of possible track damage in the heat. This was the worst train trip so far, but everything turned around when Olivera met us on the platform and brought us home to her lovely cool apartment, fed us and gave us drinks.
As the sun set, we went to a nice cafe and met Ruzica, her friend who witnessed at the wedding to Philip.
We had a lovely time chatting under a tall tree drinking lemonade.
