We needed to catch three trains to get from Liverpool to Bath, changing at Stafford and Bristol. It rained south of Birmingham so we caught a taxi to our B & B, which was well out of town. We relaxed in our nice Victorian era room in the afternoon and fortunately there is a restaurant downstairs, so we were able to enjoy a beautiful birthday meal in traditional English inn atmosphere. Lyn had the pork and Malcolm had the steak and mushroom pie. We watched "The Way We Were" on the TV.
